Supportive Services Money for Covid-19 Affected Workers
The Tri-Valley Career Center (TVCC) through the Alameda County Workforce Development Board (ACWDB) would like to help those who have lost wages/income from the shelter-in-place and the Coronavirus. If you have been financially impacted by a loss of income, we can assist you in paying a personal bill up to $800 (depending on qualifications) through a new and fast-moving grant. Please contact us if you’re interested in information and you:
- were laid-off or furloughed due to Covid-19
- experienced a reduction in hours and/or pay due to Covid-19
- required to close a business/reduce operating hours
- were subject to quarantine or care for someone in quarantine (not simply shelter-in-place)
- needed to care for children due to school or childcare closures
- at higher risk or caring for a high-risk individual
AND
- you are willing to enroll in our Workforce Innovation & Opportunity (WIOA) program which guides our career services and tracks your return to work (there is no cost to you to enroll as this is a federal program)
- have/had a household income at or below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level for Oct 2019-March 2020 (see what counts as income)
