Typing Tests

The Tri-Valley Career Center administers Typing Tests with certification at our center!

What do I need a Typing Test for?
Some employers require a certified typing test to determine your words per minute (WPM).

How long is the Typing Test?
The test itself is a five minute typing test with a three minute practice test but please expect to be at the center for up to 30 minutes, depending on how many time you take the test.

How many times can I take the test?
You to take the test up to five times.

Can I take the test online?
The test must be administered in person at our center.

What does the test record?
The test records your gross and net words per minute (WPM), your gross and net key strokes, the amount of errors made, and your accuracy percentage.

Do I need to make an appointment?
There is no appointment necessary. You can come any time during our business hours. The last test of the day is administered at 5PM.

How much does it cost?
There is a fee of $15 to take the typing test and receive your certificate.
